A Place to Connect
We expect High Point Church to grow numerically and it can be very hard to get plugged into church life if you only attend a weekend service. We were created to connect relationally and when we don't have that, life just doesn't feel quite right. In a small group you can connect relationally and make some good friends.
A Place to Belong
Over time, the people in your small group become a close family. You are no longer doing life by your-self; you're doing life together. In a small group, you can lean on each other for encouragement, support and friendship in the real world.
A Place to Grow

Where and when do small groups meet?
Most groups meet weekly in homes, but a few meet at a coffee shop or on a nearby trailhead. There are some groups which meet in the morning or afternoon but the majority of our groups meet in the evening.
How many people are in a small group?
Small Groups vary in size from four to fourteen people.
Who leads the group?
Small groups at High Point are led by volunteer leaders who have been trained to facilitate discussion and help members grow spiritually. We don't expect our leaders to be Bible experts, but they are very effective in helping people apply Biblical truths.
Are all small groups the same?
Absolutely not. They come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes. What is consistent with our groups though, is a commitment to sharing, studying the Bible, supporting one another, and serving others.
Do you have to be a Christian to attend a small group?
Not at all. Small groups are a place where Christians and non-Christians alike can explore Jesus and His teachings together.
Do I need to bring anything to small group?
Small Group Leadership Training
Part of our vision at High Point is to develop extensive opportunities to connect in meaningful commu-nity through small groups. We are looking for individuals and couples willing to facilitate a small group experience for others or that want to participate on a team that hosts a small group.
We have a brief training program that will enable you to start your own group with confidence. When you are ready, we'll send you out to start a new group.
