The Vision

At High Point Church we envision a community of believers who reverence and trust Gods Word as the final authority and guiding light of their lives. People who draw strength, joy and hope from the scripture and strive to obey it in every area of their lives. Where all the saints, young and old, take the time and effort to study the Bible diligently and develop into spiritually mature followers of Christ.

We envision corporate worship services that are contemporary and filled with the joy and life of God. Times of worship in which God is pleased with the authentic expressions of our love for Him. Through the arts, music, drama and dance we will use every creative gift available to praise and worship God with all of our hearts. Where God fills the sanctuary with His presence, touching our hearts, changing our lives, and makes Himself known to us all.

We envision a group of believers being led by the Holy Spirit in every area of their lives. Yielding to and obeying His voice and promptings quickly. Being a blessing to others through the spiritual gifts He bestows. Consistently showing forth evidence of the fruits of the Spirit throughout each day.

We envision each person becoming a true disciple of Christ. People who are steadily growing in the knowledge and application of the scriptures. Individuals who are self disciplined in the areas of personal Bible study, prayer, worship, and serving others. People who are fully devoted followers of Christ.

We envision having ongoing opportunities for all our people to discover their divine designs and gifting. To provide an environment of training in which we all are able to develop into the leaders Christ has called us to be. To develop and equip each person so that they are able to serve Christ effectively in the ministry they were created for. Our desire is that every member become a minister in their God given area of service.

We envision a congregation filled with a heart for the lost. A people who seek new and relevant ways to express to the world the love and forgiveness of Christ. A people in which evangelism is a way of life. Where witnessing to unbelievers and leading them to a saving knowledge of Christ is commonplace, not an unusual occurrence. Where the entire area of northern Arizona is made aware of the plan of salvation and given opportunity to change their lives and become a follower of Christ.

We envision a church body which is consistently sending teams of workers on short term missions trips both locally and internationally. Where full time missionaries are sent on the field every year. Our goal is to be a church that plants daughter churches. That partners with other churches in church planting projects locally and internationally.

We envision a community of believers who are committed to developing lifelong close relationships. Who accept, love, forgive and care for each other through good times and bad. Who fellowship with each other often and are always opening their heart and homes to new friends. Our goal is for every member to become a committed part of a small group in which they model biblical community.

This is our dream and a vision of what can be!!!
